I'm deeply sorry then I must have missed some of your question points. I just assumed that you might be looking for some actions manga that had been adapted into an anime or something. Not much I can recommend though since action based story is usually better in animated form. The only exception is D gray man, one punch man, and Ao no exorcist as I really like the art style

I feel you. Sometimes when I'm in this slump, I take a break from reading BL and goes watch some sad anime instead. Even now I'm currently bawling my eyes out rewatching Steins Gates.
I have multiple lists that contain different sub-genres of yaoi or shounen ai, maybe you can find something on them. Otherwise, maybe try reading a different genre (like action, isekai, fantasy, etc) and see how you like it. I always find taking a break from one genre can be helpful in finding new hidden gems in another.

I bought it because it was on sale at Yes, and it definitely seemed like a piece of trash, but as one review said, it also felt like a gothic novel mixed with madness.
The female lead in the previous work had a bit of a frustrating side, but this female lead didn't have that feeling. However, she didn't feel like a villainess, but rather a poor woman who was left bitter by her husband's abuse. The strange thing is that there isn't a female lead character or glorification of adultery, but I understood the situation...
If you liked the previous work, you might feel a bit disappointed with this novel, and if you had a hard time because the previous work was weird, you might enjoy this novel in moderation.
The characters are all overflowing with madness, so I didn't really empathize with the characters, but it was fun to get caught up in the fatal and dangerous atmosphere haha.

But all everyone has been saying is that he is annoying, he never consult with others, he is piling his problem and all. His problem to begin with was never his fault, its just he is surrounded by trash that got more power than him. He has many he wants to protect, but he is not a powerful person. It is true that he must learn how to rely on others, but it doesn't mean he is annoying. He just doesn't know how.
Besides, the boyfriend shouldn't have done that behind his back if he actually wants the MC to open up. They may be dating but its still his personal matter that he wants to cover up, because having such a father is such an embarrassment. Imagine your boyfriend

Right now their problem is lack of communication. One of them didn't want to talk and the other didn't want to ask, just waiting for the one who didn't want to talk to actually talk and begging for help.
It's drama. Let the angst come. It's the result of their character and childhood history. Let they go through the drama and learn to get more character growth. If you think the MC is annoying you probably should try to find another story that has a dominant, brave, or twisted personality.
